Dekota Lynn
Redenius
January 17, 1989 – November 9, 2023
DeKota Lynn Redenius, 34, of Udall, Kansas, joined the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
DeKota was born January 17, 1989, in Wichita, Kansas, to George Tiemeyer and Linda Scott. As a child, DeKota was an exceptional student who made honors, played the trumpet in the school band, ran cross country, and had a knack for just about anything creative. She carried much of that creativity into adulthood and was known for her way with words, her thoughtful gestures, and her eye for capturing a great photo.
Following her schooling, DeKota tried a few different industries before making her career with the Girl Scouts as a Customer Care Specialist. She absolutely loved her job and it had truly come full circle, because she was a Girl Scout herself growing up and believed in the organization. "Once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout." She even married the love of her life, Derek Redenius on August 13, 2022 at the beautiful Starwoods Girl Scout Camp.
DeKota is survived by her Husband (Derek) and daughters (Tristan & Bryclyn), along with her parents (Linda & Moe), siblings, and many other relatives and friends. Perhaps the most beautiful thing DeKota created was the village she surrounded herself with.
There will be a private service for the family followed by a celebration of life held at the American Legion Post 4 in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday, November 18th from 11am-4pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, a Gofundme has been set up for the family at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/dekota-redenius-memorial-fundraiser.
