Dee Philip Lewis, 84, of Winfield, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Rock Regional Medical Center in Derby.
Dee was born February 3, 1936, in Winfield, to Mary (Stuber) Lewis and LeRoy E. Lewis. Dee served his country in the Marine Corp and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed tractors, looking over his crops, counting his cattle, and driving his bobcat around. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching K-State and Kansas City Chiefs Football. Dee was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and LeRoy Lewis; brothers Walter Henry Lewis, Dan Lewis, Alan Lewis; sisters Marjorie Abel, Barbara Joan Lewis, Betty Bourne, Katherine Taylor; and daughter Lou Ann Enslow.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Lewis, of the home; son Ryan Lewis, and wife, Sasha of Winfield, Terry Johnson and wife, Donna of Winfield, Bob Johnson of Marland, Oklahoma, and Eddie Weigle and wife, Stephanie of Burden and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wilmot Cemetery, north of Winfield. The family asks that family and friends wear masks and practice social distancing during the service. Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Dee's name for Grandview United Methodist Church or for the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
