Obituary

David Lee Warner, 54, of Winfield, KS passed away March 18, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center due to complications from Covid-19.

He was born October 29, 1966 in Noblesville, Indiana. He grew up in Anderson, Indiana before relocating to Meridian, Mississippi. After graduating from Meridian Community College in 1989, he moved around the United States, fulfilling his great love of adventure and traveling. He eventually made his way to Kansas where he worked for the Winfield Correctional Facility.

David's biggest passion in life was his faith. He used his faith to spread love and joy to everyone he met. There was rarely a time when he wasn't smiling and laughing. Anyone who had the opportunity to hear that laugh knows what a joyous sound it was. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. There was never a task that was too big for him to accomplish. He was happiest working outside, mowing or just enjoying all the beauty that nature had to offer. He loved fiercely and considered everyone who was close to him as family. He touched more lives than he ever imagined and that will be his legacy.

He is survived by his fiancee, Grace Hall and son Oliver of Winfield; his brother Dennis Warner and wife Ethel of Noblesville Indiana; nephews Dennis Warner and wife Marissa, Derick Warner and wife Hannah, Dustin Warner and wife Audrey all of Noblesville; six great-nephews, one great niece and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Max Warner and Judy (VanBuskirk) Warner Reed and his sister Laura A. Warner.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, March 24th at 6:30pm at the West Kansas Avenue Church of God in Arkansas City, KS.

Memorials have been established in David's name for the Cowley County Humane Society and for Eagle's Nest. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
