Obituary

DAVID DEAN PYLE, 53, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, November 16, 2013 at his home.

Born January 10, 1960 at Luke Airforce Base in Arizona, he was the son of Roger and Madelyn Darlene (McNeely) Pyle, formerly of Pittsburgh, Kansas. David traveled with his parents to stations around the world. He entered the United States Navy in May of 1977 as a Boiler Technician. His last tour of duty was aboard the USS Ranger. He was honorably discharged in April of 1986.

David was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon for six years and 28 days at sea. David held several Civil Defense jobs after leaving the Navy. He had been employed at Cessna for the last 17 years.

He married Lori Wilson. To this union, Roger Dickerson and Rachel Dresselhaus were born. Lori preceded him in death. David later married Stephanie Luna and cared for three step children, Dominique, Victor and Corbin. The couple later divorced.

His family includes:

His son: Roger Dickinson of Wichita;
His daughter: Rachel Dresselhaus of Wichita;
His brothers: Tim Pyle and wife, Marcia of Hutchinson; James Pyle and wife, Stephanie of Manville, Texas;
His sister: Darla Kay Foster and husband, Gary of Haysville; and
9 nieces and nephews; 5 great nieces and nephews;

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment and military committal honors will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery.

Memorials have been established in David's name for the American Heart Assocation or for the American Legion Post #10. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
