David Murphy's Obituary
DAVID MURPHY, 54, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, March 6, 2010 at William Newton Hospital due to injures received in a house fire.
Born April 16, 1955 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Charles R. and Clara B. (Sutton) Murphy. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1974.
He was united in marriage to Carol Conrady in 1975. The couple made their home in Winfield, and later divorced.
David was employed at Cessna Aircraft for several years. He then worked at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center in the power plant, and later at Fluid Kinetics.
He enjoyed working on motorcycles and cars.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Tuesday afternoon March 16, 2010 from 1:00-5:00.
A memorial has been established in David's name for the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
