DAVID MICHAEL KAFKA-BOWMAN, 28, most recently of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010.
David was born August 11, 1981 in Grove, Oklahoma. He was raised in Winfield and attended Winfield Schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winfield, and most recently attended Hackney Baptist Church when he came home to visit his mother.
He worked for Associated Pool Builders out of Bismark, North Dakota, where he traveled around the Midwest constructing large pools. David was the lead nozzle man and worked every aspect of the job. He was in charge of shooting the concrete into the pool walls. He loved skateboarding. David always had to skate the bottom of the pool before it was painted to make sure all the curves and slopes were just right. David was an avid gamer movie watcher and collector. He loved life and was never afraid to be different!

David was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John F. Greenleaf and Winton Long, and his uncle, Dennis Long.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Miles Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday evening from 4 to 8.
