David L. Drum, 58, of Newton, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Newton Medical Center.

Born March 6, 1963 in Santa Maria, California, he was the son of David Morgan and Betty Mae (Place) Drum. David was raised and received his education in California. He moved to Kansas to be near family.

David worked as a CNC Operator at Worthington Industries. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching movies. He especially loved spending time with his family.

His family includes his children, Amber Gonzales of Kansas; Austin David of Kansas; Brandon Drum of Kansas; Jesse (Ginny) Dobbs of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Angelino, Julian, Annabelle, Adrina, Arayiah, Elijah, Erin, Jordan, Lyrica; and his siblings, Jametta, Candice, Keitha, Tammy, Morganna, Clifford, Charles, and Linda.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son Derreck Tyler David and a daughter Ashley Drum.

Visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 4 to 8 P.M. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
