Daniel Lee Winslow, 67, of Winfield, Kansas passed away Monday evening, September 30, 2013 at Galicia Heart Hospital in Wichita.

Born August 6, 1946 in Salina, Kansas, he was the son of Robert Miles Winslow and Juanita Bundrick. He was raised and received his education in the Salina area. After school he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.

Dan was united in marriage to Ann McClellan on July 2, 1967 in McGehee, Arkansas. The couple made their first home in North Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1973 Dan began working for Boeing and remained their during the change to Spirit Aero Systems. While working he attended and graduated from Southwestern College with a degree in Business Management. He retired from Boeing as a manager after 30 years of service.

He was an active leader in the Girl Scouts organization, and served on the board of the Four Winds Girl Scout Council. He enjoyed farming with his son, fixing things, working on automobiles, spending time with his grandchildren, working on his retirement home at Holiday Island, Arkansas, spending time with his animals, reading, and visiting his daughter and son-in-law in Kansas City.

His brothers: Robert Miles Winslow II and wife, Cassandra of Brandon, FL; Charles Bundrick II of Derby; Allen Bundrick and wife, Andrea of Derby; Jimmy Joe Winslow and wife, Brooke of Haysville; Richard Winslow of Wichita;
His sisters: Patricia Creonte and husband, Antonio Augustine Kansas City; Dixie Helmuth of Derby; and
His grandchildren: Trey and Georgia Winslow of Rock.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. A private family interment will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening, October 4, 2013 from 5 to 7. The family will greet visitors that evening.

Memorials have been established in Daniel's name for Girl Scouts of Heartland in Wichita, and for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
