Danete Lea Vossen-Foust, aka "Dammit" 58, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon, November 6, 2023, at her home.

Born September 2, 1965, in Great Bend, Kansas, she was the daughter of Donald and Doris (Wise) Vossen.  The family moved from Great Bend to Enid, OK, and eventually made their home in Winfield where Danete received her education.

Danete held many jobs throughout her life including working in healthcare at several local long-term care facilities.  She also worked in food service as a waitress.  Danete's hobbies included crafting and gardening.  She also enjoyed animals and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Her family includes her daughters, Amber Estrada (Jon); Nicole Foust; and Cameron Walker (Brandon); her grandchildren, Gavin, Liam, Esme, Livia, Kaison, and Karson; her siblings, Lisa Thayer (Everett); Bruce Vossen; Tammy Drouhard (Chris); and Brian Vossen (Nancy); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Sammy Soso.

Danete was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Danete's name to help defray expenses.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
