Obituary

DALE L. DRAKE, 58, of Winfield, passed away Thursday morning, October 2, 2008, at the William Newton Hospital.

Born on February 18, 1950, in Dodge City, Kansas, he was the son of Delbert W. and Edith E. (Yockey) Drake. He was educated in Humbolt, Kansas.

Dale worked as a security guard for the Winfield State Hospital for 19 years. In 1999, he went to work for the Winfield School District as a school bus driver. He was united in marriage to Debra Sultz on September 17, 1981 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield.

He attended Berean Assembly of Wichita. His number one love was to worship and praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

His family includes:
His wife: Debra Drake of Winfield;
His sons: Michael Allen Sultz and wife, Kasandra of Arkansas City; William Drake of Winfield; and Justin Drake of Winfield;
His daughter: Joyce Drake of Winfield;
His sister: Ceolah K. Jones and husband, Lee of Oxford; and
His grandchildren: Gavin, Trinity, Malaki, Amanda and Shaunte Sultz and Ashtyn Drake.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 10:00 A.M., at Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service Monday evening from 5 to 9. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 6 that evening.

A Memorial has been established in Dale's name for the Berean Assembly of Wichita. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
