Cynthia L. Goodnight, 62, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025, at her home.

Born February 28, 1963, in Enid, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Michael Andrew Tennison and Deanna Lou Hyle.  Cynthia was united in marriage to John Arthur Goodnight on August 8, 2008, in Wellington, Kansas.  She enjoyed plants and pets, especially cats.

Her family includes her husband John Goodnight of Winfield; son Arthur Goodnight of Winfield; her father Mike Tennison of Oregon; her siblings, Christy Meadow of Tennessee; Charles Tennison of Oklahoma; and her grandchildren, Rachel, Alexander, Liliana.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, and sons Andrew and Truman.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Cynthia's name for the Kansas Veterans Home.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
