Craig Brant Liermann, 63, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center.

Born August 23, 1956 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Harry Dean and Martha Jeanne (Brant) Liermann. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1974. Following high school, Craig attended college and received a Bachelors Degree in Business. He went on to receive EMICT and worked as a paramedic in Lawrence and Winfield. He worked as a paramedic as well as a fireman in Arkansas City.

Craig was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, contra dance, exercising, and weightlifting. He loved bluegrass.

His family includes his brother Chris Liermann and wife, Julie of Olathe; his sister Jane Kaufman of Winfield; and two nephews and two nieces.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Martha Jeanne Liermann, and his brother-in-law, Chris Kaufman.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Highland Cemetery. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Craig's name for the Martha Jeanne Liermann Memorial Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
