Cora Pauline Simpson, 70, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, October 25, 2018 at Winfield Senior Living.
Born September 19, 1948 in McAlester, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Paul and Cora (Stevens) Banister. She was raised and received her education in Arkansas City. She was married to Danny Simpson. Danny preceded her in death. Pauline worked as a waitress most of her life. Life wasn't always easy on her as she was dealt a rough hand, but she always kept fighting. She loved her girls and spent the majority of her life working hard to support and raise them alone.
Pauline enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales. Her greatest joy was her girls and five grandchildren. She loved them all more than she knew how to say.
Her family includes her daughters, Jennifer Boyle and husband, Tony of Pea Ridge, AR; Tammy Rowe and husband, R.J. of Ponca City, OK; her brothers, Paul, Marvin, Frankie, and Melvin Banister; sisters, Wilma Hale and Beverly Peterson; and grandchildren, Hayley, Bryley, and Jacob Boyle, Skyler Smith, and Kalieb Rowe.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by a sister, Nevella Lynn.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Parker Cemetery in Arkansas City. A visitation is scheduled for that morning from 10 to noon at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
A memorial has been established for the family to help defray expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
