Cora Ann Meyer, 54, formerly of Douglass, Kansas, passed away Friday morning, August 2, 2019 at her home in Augusta.

Born February 17, 1965 in El Dorado, Kansas, she was the daughter of Jack and Catherine (Howard) Meyer. She was raised and received her education in Douglass, graduating from Douglass High School in 1983.

Cora worked at Boeing for a number of years, as well as at the legion as a server and in construction, pouring concrete. She made a career as a self-employed housekeeper. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, collecting rocks, and finding old bridges. She was very involved with her nieces and nephews. She especially loved being with her friends and family.

Her family includes her children, Samantha Ruggiero and husband, Eddie of Augusta; Carly Kennedy of Belle Plaine; Abby Kennedy of Haysville; Jesse Watson and wife, Ashley of Mulvane; her father Jack Meyer of Rock; her brothers, Rodney Meyer and wife, Shirley of Mulvane; and Howard Meyer and wife, Becky of Burden; her sister Carman Benton and husband, Greg of Arkansas City; her 7 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Cora was preceded in death by her mother Catherine Meyer.

The family will hold memorial services at the Douglass Community Building in Douglass on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Cora's name at RCB Bank for her granddaughter, Katie's education fund. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
