Consuela "Connie" Madrigal, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 27, 2016 at Winfield Rest Haven.
Born August 24, 1930 in Wellington, Kansas, she was the daughter of Margarito and Concepcion (Moreno) Madrigal. She was raised and received her education in Rosehill, Hackney and Winfield. She attended Grandview United Methodist Church.
At the age of thirteen, Connie moved in and worked for Mr. Clarence and Florence King. As part of their family, she helped raise and care for Gregory King and Stephanie Butterfield King Lynn. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family includes:
Her brothers: Bill Madrigal of Winfield; and Jesse Madrigal of Braman, OK;
Her sister: Juanita White of Butler, MO; and
Her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brothers, David, Joe and John Madrigal and sisters, Marie Chavez and Delores Jaso.
The family will hold a memorial service on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Grandview United Methodist Church. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will take place that afternoon at Holy Name Catholic Church at 2:00 P.M. Burial will then take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials have been established in Connie's name for the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
