Connie Henderson-Damon, age 69, of Oak Park, IL, passed away March 22, 2018.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, on January 28, 1949, Connie graduated from Wichita East High School and attended Wichita State University. She transferred to the University of Kansas Medical Center where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Connie served as a nurse in the Army Reserve's 410th Evacuation Hospital out of Topeka, Kansas, with the rank of captain. After working as a nurse, Connie returned to school and earned an MBA from the University of Kansas. She moved to the Chicago area in 1981 where she remained until her death. She was the beloved wife of Christopher; loving mother of Laura. Six aunts and uncles survive her along with 24 cousins and their families & her nephew, Joe Henderson, and his family. In-laws, John & Betsy Damon, Patricia Damon, niece, Beth Damon, IL and her family, Connie was preceded in death by her parents William O. Henderson and Lenora Bair Henderson.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Dexter Cemetery in Dexter, Kansas. A visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Service Wednesday from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm at First United Church, 848 Lake Street, Oak Park, on Saturday, April 7.
