Cleta "Jeanette" Lyke, 78, formerly of Cedar Vale, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, January 31, 2019 at Medicalodges in Arkansas City.

Born February 12, 1940 in Cedar Vale Kansas, she was the daughter of Margarie Ward and Floyd Goode. She attended Cedar Vale High School. She was a hair dresser in Cedar Vale before she was married. Then she worked for Altoona Midway High School, Buffalo, Kansas, as a cook until she retired.

Jeanette was united in marriage to Charles Roger Lyke on September 25, 1964 in Burden Kansas. Roger preceded her in death on March 31, 2010.

Jeanette was a member of the Cedar Vale Baptist Church. She always enjoyed large family gatherings and taking trips with her sisters. She also had a very infectious laugh!

Her family incudes her son Tyler Lyke of Pottstown, PA; daughter Dawn Lyke of Arkansas City.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanette was preceded in death by her sisters Billie, Nancy, and brother Mike.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with inurnment taking place at Round Mound Cemetery in Cedar Vale. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
