Christopher Paul "Chewy" Waits, 18, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday June 20, 2011 at his home in Winfield.

Born March 22, 1993 in Winfield, he was the son of Calvin and Teresa M. (Parsons) Waits. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. He had completed his junior year of high school and only needed a few more hours to graduate. He played baseball, football, and wrestling throughout the years growing up.

Chris was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Winfield. He enjoyed playing music with his band and swimming with his best bud, Patrick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday June 24, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Winfield. The rosary will be recited at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield at 7:00 P.M., Thursday June 23, 2011.

A memorial has been established in Chris' name for Holy Name Catholic School. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
