Christine J. Wells, 67, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at her home.

Born June 1, 1959, in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Cecil H. “Peak” and Meryl I. (Kunkel) Knapp. She was raised in Rock, attending Rock elementary school. She graduated from Udall High School in 1977.

Christine was united in marriage to Danny Rae Wells on October 24, 1987, in Udall where the couple made their home. Chris worked for Gott Manufacturing, which later became Rubbermaid, for over 17 years. She later worked for Wasi as a Deburr Technician, Knot Just Another Restaurant, and Udall schools. Finally, she worked in transportation for 4-County Mental Health. Dan preceded her in death on January 27, 2011.

Chris attended Rock Christian Church and most recently enjoyed watching Rock United Methodist Church online. She enjoyed diamond art, crocheting, watching Nascar, Kansas City Chiefs, and NCIS, and riding her scooter. She especially loved attending and watching her grandkid’s activities.

Her family includes her sons, Christopher Knapp and wife, Joni of Udall; Travis Wells and wife Sabrina of Winfield; her seven grandchildren, Dylan, Alex, Jacob, Gage, Miranda, Kayl, and Cole; her sister-in-law Polly Knapp of Arizona; niece Amanda; and nephew Shilo (Nikki).

In addition to her parents and husband, Chris was preceded in death by her brother Nathan Knapp.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 6, 2026, at Miles Funeral Service. Private interment will take place at Ninnescah Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials have been established in Chris’ name for the Cowley County Fire District #4 and for the MS Society of America. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
