CHERYL C. JORDAN, 82, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, August 18, 2015 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Born on July 11, 1933 in Latham, Kansas, she was the daughter of John Thomas and Goldie Fay (Huff) Moore. She received her education in Latham, El Dorado and Grenola, Kansas. Cheryl graduated from Grenola High School in 1951.
She was united in marriage to Carl Jordan on September 30, 1951 in Grenola. They made their first home in Latham for a short time before moving to Burden. In 1955 the couple moved to Winfield. She was a homemaker while their children were in school. Cheryl later was employed for USD #465 as a bus driver, retiring in 1994. Mr. Jordan preceded her in death in 2007.
Cheryl was a member of the First Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, and Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, painting and playing Bingo.

Her grandchildren: John Mortimer, David Mortimer, Tracey Coffey, Brandy Benjamin, Jon Riley, Kendra Frasier, Jennifer Peters, Sarah Mitchell, Austin Wilson, Chris King and Jenna L'Hommedieu;
Her great-grandchildren: Letica Knudson, Ryan Mortimer, Chelsie Mortimer, Gage Coffey, Garrett Coffey, Jordan Scott, Morgan Carson, Cole Riley, Conner Riley, Hanna Vaden, Lyric Bryant, Dylan Peters, Maleia Howard, Chase King, Laila King, Cannon King, Cooper King, Layla L'Hommedieu, and Londyn L'Hommedieu; and
Her great-great grandchildren: Brooklyn Mortimer, Bexley Mortimer, and Tucker Knudsen.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Bell and Melba Sheetz.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Cheryl's name for the St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
