Cheryl L. Dobson, 71,
of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, September 13, 2017 at Via Christi St Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Born May 24, 1946 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Donald Eugene and Winifred Earl (Rumney) Dobson. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating Winfield High School in 1964. She then attended college in Pittsburg followed by nursing school in Emporia where she received her RN Degree.
She worked in Topeka, Anthony, Enid and Bartlesville before moving back to Winfield in 1994. She operated a daycare out of her home in Winfield and dearly loved caring for the children.
Cheryl was a member of Millington Street Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and especially loved to read romance novels. She also enjoyed her animals and was a great cook.

Her nieces and nephews: Tom (Lauren) Dobson of Lee Summit, MO; Jerry Dobson of Lenexa; Kenny Dobson; Greg (Cari) Dick of Vinton, IA; Kevan (Christine) Dick of Ponder, TX; Tamatha (Blake) Lister of Edmond, OK; Jennifer (Bart) Workman of Bartlesville, OK; Cassandra (Josh) Gaddis of Houston, TX; Allison (Brent Bisgard) Wurtz of Cypress, TX; Jeremy (Sarah) Dobson of El Dorado; Bryan (Kati) Dobson of Wellington.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Larry Joe Dobson and Steven Clarke Dobson.
Memorial services will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to help with expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
