Charles N. Hall, 90, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away at his home Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
Born June 27, 1925 in New Salem, Kansas, he was the son of Maurice and Rosa Hall. He was raised and received his education in the Winfield and Burden areas, following which he served in the United States Navy.
Charles was united in marriage to Evelyn Olsen on March 17, 1951. To this union, twin children were born, Curtis and Debbie. The couple later divorced. He worked for the aircraft industry, retiring from General Electric after over thirty years.
Mr. Hall was attending Calvary Church in Arkansas City. He enjoyed bowling and golf, working on old cars and going to car shows.
His family includes his twin children, Debbie Hedges and Curtis "Moe" Hall, both of Winfield; his sister, Fern Kinion of Tampa, Florida; granddaughter, Betty Pierce; grandson, Jeremy Hall; special friend, Denise Skibbe; and many other friends that he has made throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Pierce, and six brothers and sisters: Clarence Hall of Winfield, Kansas, Homer Hall, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Cecil Hall, Winfield, Kansas, Lucille Blakely, Dodge City, Kansas, James Hall, Winfield, Kansas, and Helen Stacy of Cherryvale, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Miles Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 26th at 10:00. Inurnment will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in Charles' name to the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
