CB PRICE, 95, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 20, 2014 at his home.

Born on May 17, 1919 on the Price Ranch 10 miles north of Atlanta, Kansas, he was the son of Clifford and Minnie (Ketterman) Price. He was the youngest of 6 children and from an early age loved the outdoors. He attended the Ellet one room school house on the corner of the ranch. CB later attended Atlanta High School.

He was united in marriage to Velva Ruth Bolte in 1935. They had 3 children, Joyce Lee, Larry & Connie. The couple later divorced.

He married Shirley Cooper on June 2, 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. CB lived on the ranch for 72 years until moving to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. They then moved to Kerrville, Texas. Shirley preceded him in death on September 22, 2012. CB moved to Arkansas City in 2013.

He enjoyed herding cattle, leather tooling, woodworking and welding.

His family includes:

His daughter: Connie Brown of Arkansas City, KS;
His 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Craft; and his sisters, Delilah Redford Thomas. Lois Shannon, Lorene Dryden, Daisy Gregory; and his brother, Cecil Price.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at the Latham Cemetery in Latham, Kansas. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

A memorial has been established in Mr. Price's name for Gentiva Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
