Casey Knarr, 27, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away at William Newton Hospital on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Casey was born in Wichita, Kansas, on December 14, 1998 to Dusty and Guy. He moved to Winfield in 2010 where he attended Winfield schools and met the love of his life, Destany Lever. Casey and Destany built their life together in Winfield and were married on September 30, 2023. Together, they welcomed three beautiful children, Leanne, 6, and twins Laural and Laysan, 3. Casey was a devoted husband and father who took pride in his family. His wife and children were the center of his world, and he enjoyed every moment spent with them.
Casey is survived by his wife, Destany, and their three children, Leanne, Laural, and Lasyan; his mother, Dusty, of Winfield; his brother, William “Fluffy,” of Winfield; his grandmother Patti of Edmond, OK; his grandfather Mark of Valley Center; nephews Brentley, Ryan, and Zander; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Amy and Richard, of Winfield; sisters-in-law Haley and Rachel, both of Winfield; brother-in-law Kaden of Winfield; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Anyone who knew Casey knew he was someone you could count on. If a friend or family member needed help, Casey was the kind of person who would be there without hesitation. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer his time, or simply be there when someone needed him. He valued his friendships deeply and had a way of making people feel like they could count on him. The impact he had on those around him will not be forgotten.
Casey had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and spending time outside with friends and family. Some of his favorite memories were made outdoors, surrounded by family and friends.
Casey spent much of his career working in the oil field, a profession he truly enjoyed. He loved working outdoors and took pride in the work he did. His hardworking nature and willingness to get his hands dirty were a reflection of the kind of person he was—someone who worked hard, cared deeply, and gave his best to the people and things that mattered to him. He was a gambling man that enjoyed going to the casino and placing bets with friends and family on almost anything.
Although Casey’s life was far too short, the love he gave, the friendships he built, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His greatest legacy will be the love he had for his family and the countless ways he showed up for the people he cared about. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family kindly requests donations to help support Casey’s wife and three young children during this difficult time. Donations may be made through the family’s donation portal:
