Carolyn M. Jones, 77, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, July 29, 2019 at Cumbernauld Village.

Born July 15, 1942 in Columbus, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Leroy and Emma (Sinclair) Fisher. Carolyn was a military brat, moving all over and attending various schools. She graduated from Stillwater High School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University where she received her Bachelor degree.

She met the love of her life, Byron Jones while in Stillwater. The couple married on August 9, 1964 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The couple made their lifelong home in Winfield. Carolyn went on to receive her Master's in Education from Wichita State University and began her career as a reading teacher. Byron preceded her in death on February 21, 2019.

Carolyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. She loved barbies, arts and humanities, volunteering at the museum, and couponing.

Her family includes her daughters, Ardeth Jones of Oklahoma City, OK; Krissy Smith and husband, Charles of Corinth, TX; and her granddaughter Samantha Smith.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held on Carolyn and Byron's 55th wedding anniversary, Friday, August 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. Interment will follow at Memorial Lawn Cemetery north of Arkansas City. Friends may sign a register book at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

A memorial has been established in Carolyn's name for Cumbernauld Village. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
