CAROLYN D. JOHNSON, 71, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.
Born March 22, 1938 in Arkansas City, she was the daughter of Cyrus and Doris (Wilson) Lock. She received her education in Winfield graduating from Winfield High School.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Donald L. Johnson on April 12, 1958 at the United Bretheren Church in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield. She worked at the Binney and Smith Crayola Factory in Winfield and later at Hittle Service where she was a bookkeeper. Mr. Johnson preceded Carolyn in death on July 23, 1999.
Carolyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Stonecraft Bible Study Group. She enjoyed painting, gardening and quilting.

Her sons: Darryl Johnson and wife, Tammy of Wichita; and Darren Johnson and Karla Dexter of Winfield;
Her brother: Gary Lock of Pueblo, CO;
Her grandchildren: Jessica Johnson and Holley Dexter; and
Her great-grandson: Parker James Dexter.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 to 8.
A memorial has been established in Carolyn's name for Trinity Lutheran Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
