Carolyn Rose Enns, 56, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, April 15, 2015 at Winfield Senior Living.
Born May 20, 1958 in La Junta, Colorado, she was the daughter of Karl and Mabel (Nice) Enns. She was raised and received her education in Rocky Ford, Colorado graduating from Rocky Ford High School in 1976. She then attended Sterling College and graduated in 1980. She would later obtain her Master's Degree from New Hampshire.
Carolyn worked at Spurwink Special Education Agency in Portland, Maine as a Clinical Social Worker for twenty one years. She retired as the Assistant Program Director in 2009. She moved to Winfield in 2012.
She was united in marriage to Jody Smith on July 15, 2014 in Portland, Maine. The couple made their home in Winfield. Carolyn enjoyed sports, woodworking, gardening and motorcycling. She was a loving mother, wife and sister.

Her sister: Karen Van Galder and husband, Michael of Hermitage, TN;
Her grandchildren: Olivia West, Lucy West and Macie Kate West; and
Many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Enns, and her sister, Bernice Markle.
The family will hold a celebration of Carolyn's life at her home, 720 E 19th Ave in Winfield at 5:00 P.M., Saturday April 25, 2015.
A Graveside memorial service for family and friends will be held in Cheraw, Colorado at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Winfield Senior Living Center and Gentiva Hospice. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
