Obituary

Carol Tatum, 72, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday evening, April 12, 2016 at Catholic Care Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Born March 16, 1944 Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Earl Warren and Thelma Ione (Nease) Siemer. She was raised and received her education in Oxford, graduating from Oxford High School in 1962.

Carol married Carl Tatum and they had two children. The couple later divorced. Carol worked in housekeeping at William Newton Hospital in Winfield from 1987 until she retired in 2008. She enjoyed crocheting, making lovely afghans and always had a pet parakeet. She also enjoyed visiting with all her family, especially the grandkids.

Her daughter: Becki Reynard and husband, John of Newton;
Her son: Brad Tatum of Winfield;
Her sister: Bonnie Belisle of Bel Aire;
Her brother: John Siemer and wife, Anita of Wichita;
Her step-bother: John Leftwich and wife, Shirley of Woodlands, TX;
Her grandkids: Tiffany, MacKenzie, William, and Tana.

In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her step-father, Marion Leftwich, a sister, Betty Jenkins, and two step-brothers, Jack and Eugene Leftwich.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Oxford Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.

A memorial has been established in Carol's name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
