Obituary

CAROL RAE KING SCOTT, 55, of Burden, Kansas, went to be with her Heavenly Father Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

Carol was born August 17, 1957 to Carl T. and Lois I. (Houser) King. She was born and raised in Winfield most of her life. She attended Atlanta grade schools and later graduated from Winfield High School.

Carol worked along side her father from the time she could reach over the counter of many businesses her operated until 1983.

On May 31, 1975, Carol married Ronnie L. Enderud. To this marriage, two children were born, Amy Rebecca and Eric Wayne. The couple later divorced.

Carol was united in marriage to Michael Lee Scott in Burden, Kansas on December 3, 1982. The couple later divorced.

She worked 16 years for the City of Burden, where she retired proudly on November 17, 2012. In earlier years, Carol worked for Binney & Smith Crayola Factory until its closing. She then began employment with Snyder Clinic until its closing. She worked several years for Dr. Turner.

Carol loved her children, grandchildren, her loving companion, Michael, and God.

Amy's children: Aaron, Trey and Skileigh;
Her son: Eric Enderud and wife, Mary of Udall, KS;
Eric's children: Chloe, Lanae and Emma Grace;
Her step-daughter: Julia Hicks and husband, Phillip and their son, Philip;
Her sister: Carleen Girgenti of Fayetteville, AR; and
Several cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Burden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, March 24 from 2 to 5 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 2 to 3 that afternoon.

In lieu of flowers, Carol has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
