Obituary

BWANA L. DRENNAN, 68, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, January 8, 2013 at Harry Hynes Hospice/St. Francis in Wichita.

Born on December 5, 1944 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Merle A. and Lorena (Wilkinson) Pack. She was raised and received her education in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1962. Bwana traveled over the next 5 years with Evangelist Lula Ware as the musician.

She was united in marriage to Robert Drennan on July 21, 1974 in Winfield where the couple made their home. Bwana was employed at the Snyder Clinic as a receptionist and worked there for 35 years until its closing. At the time of its closing she was an assistant to the administrator. She later worked for Donna's Designs for 3 years.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, currently GracePointe. Bwana had taught Sunday School, directed the choir and bell choirs as well as children and teen musicals. She served as secretary for 30 years and played the piano. She dearly loved music, especially playing the piano and mentoring aspiring musicians.

Her family includes:

Her brother: Aaron Pack and wife Jeanette of Marshall, MO;
Her sisters: Nedra Musgrove and husband David of Winfield, KS; and Mary Bennett and husband Richard of Independence, MO;
Her brother-in-law: Jerry Drennan and wife Peggy of Winfield, KS;
Her sister-in-law: Nancy Drennan of Winfield, KS; and
A host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Virginia Drennan and father-in-law, Dean Drennan; her nephews, Brad Musgrove, Mike Walker, Monte Pack and Buck Carpenter; and her brother-in-law, Bill Drennan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the GracePointe Church. Private family interment will follow. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., that evening.

Memorials have been established in Bwana's name for the GracePointe Church and Littlefolks Gospel Productions, Inc. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
