Bryan Charles Felts, 38, of Valley Center passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Born January 22, 1978 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Michael Bryan and Lynn Ann (Watkins) Felts. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1996. He played sports for the Vikings and attended Hutchinson Community College on a football scholarship.
Bryan loved sports, especially football. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt. He was a gentle giant with a big heart and was loved by all who knew him and cherished by his family.
His family includes his parents, Mike and Lynn Felts of Winfield; his grandparents, William and Virginia Felts of Afton, Oklahoma; his brother, Thomas Felts and wife, Chelsea of Emporia; his nephews, Wyatt and Carter Felts of Emporia; as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents Colonel C.T. Watkins Jr. and Madonna E. Watkins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Winfield. Visitation will be at Miles Funeral Service on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 6 to 8 that evening. Private burial will take place at Highland Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Bryan's name for Cowley County Humane Society. Also donations can be made to Winfield youth football and Valley Center youth football. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
