Obituary

Brian Ball, 53, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Born November 23, 1968, in Auburn, Washington, he was the son of Ervin "Ray" and Sandra Marie (Wells) Ball.  He was raised and received his education in Grenola, graduating from Central High School in Burden in 1987.  He later attended the Bryan Institute in Wichita.

Brian was first employed with Binney & Smith where he worked with his father. He then started his career as the Information Technology Coordinator for the Kansas Department of Corrections, where he remained for over 20 years.  Brian has two daughters, Hannah and Addison. He loved being a father; his daughters made him proud and were most important to him.  When Brian wasn't working, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, acquiring tattoos, fishing, hunting, drag races, cooking food or smoking meat, golf, and listening to loud rock music.  He also loved Snickerdoodle cookies and will be remembered for telling jokes and giving friends and family a hard time.  He will be dearly missed by his Pomeranian, Allie, that he adored.

Survivors include his daughters, Hannah Ball and significant other, Dalton York of Arkansas City; Addison Ball of Arkansas City; his mother Sandy Ball of Winfield; a sister Sheila Krug and husband, Jamie of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his father Ervin Ray Ball; and siblings Rhonda Andes, Terri McBeth and Tracy Morris.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday March 30, 2022 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private family burial will take place at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at a later date.
