Brenda F. Wooten, 51, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, December 6, 2014 at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center.

Born September 8, 1963 in Coffeyville, Kansas, she was the daughter of Shiley Leon Wooten and Mary Lou Wages. Brenda moved to the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center in 1970. She joined CCL in 1998 and moved to her current home in Arkansas City on December 15, 1999.

She enjoyed listening to music. She also loved socializing and being part of conversations going on around her.

Her family includes:
Her brother: David Wooten of Leavenworth, KS;
Her sisters: Donna Johnson, Rosemary Martinez and Ruthie Green of Rogers, AR; and Joyce Wooten of Fayetteville, AR;
Her guardian: Laura Bumgarner of Arkansas City; and
Her friends and caregivers at Easter Seals Capper Foundation formerly CCL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clifford Wooten and her guardian, Virginia Hicks.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Brenda's name for the Easter Seals Capper Foundation, formerly CCL. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
