Bradley J. Van Winkle, 54, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his residence Saturday, November 22, 2014.
Born July 13, 1960 in Great Bend, Kansas, he was the son of James J. and Kathryn (Reidel) Van Winkle. He was raised and received his education in Great Bend, graduating from Great Bend High School in 1979.
Brad worked many years farming and more recently running heavy equipment, he was a hard worker before his health began to fail. He enjoyed farming, animals, reading, and the outdoors.

His father: Jim Van Winkle and wife, Karolyn of Winfield, KS;
His brother: Todd Van Winkle and wife, Angela of Neosho, MO;
His sister: Jamie Isbell and husband, Gerry of Dallas, TX;
His step-brothers: Stacy Kowalsky and wife, Meredeth of Winfield, KS; Shawn Kowalsky of Texas; and
Several nephews, nieces and cousins.
In addition to his mother and grandparents, Brad was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A family inurnment will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery near Seward, Kansas. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established in Brad's name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
