Obituary

BRAD BETTLES, 50, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, August 13, 2012 at his home.

Born March 27, 1962 in Council Grove, Kansas, he was the son of Loren and Loretta (Melvin) Bettles. He was raised and educated in Herington, Kansas. Brad was a member of the Herington First Christian Church.

He attended and graduated Cowley County Community College with an Associates in Business Administration, and later graduated Southwestern College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Brad obtained a Masters of Business Quality Management from Friends University. He entered the United States Navy in 1980 and was honorably discharged a short time later.

He was united in marriage to Angela Rowe on November 22, 1980 in Herington, Kansas. Brad worked for Rubbermaid for over twenty years, starting as a forklift driver and ending as the plant manager. The past five years, he and his wife, owned and operated a business in Wichita, manufacturing aircraft parts.

Brad enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and playing games. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

His daughter: Mandi Bettles-Rosenquist of Kansas City, MO;
His father: Loren Bettles of Derby;
His brother: Patrick Bettles and wife, Sherrie of Ft. Worth, TX;
His grandchildren: Emmilia Rosenquist and Bradley and Audrey Bettles;
His mother-in-law: Mildred Rowe of Herington;
His brothers-in-law: Tim Rowe of Herington; and Merle Rowe and wife, Sara of Abilene, KS;
His nieces and nephew: Sara Bettles-Rivera and Jamie Bettles-Check of Ft. Worth, TX; and Emilie Rowe and Nathaniel Rowe of Emporia; and
Several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Bettles.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, August 18, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet friends during this time.

A Memorial has been established in Brad's name for MD Anderson Cancer Center. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
