BOUNNOY SOPHABMIXAY, 80, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, November 15, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Born on March 10, 1930 in Laos, she was the daughter of Sanvongsa and Tum Phakhonekham. In 1947 she was united in marriage to Bounmy Sophabmixay in Laos. The couple came to the United States in 1983 and resided in Fresno, California. Mr. Sophabmixay preceded her in death in 1998. She moved to Winfield in 2006.
Bounnoy was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
Her family includes:
Her sons: Bounkham Sophabmixay of Hawaii; Bounkhene Sophabmixay of Fresno, CA; Bounkhoune Sophabmixay of Winfield, KS; and Bounxou Sophabmixay of North Carolina;
Her daughter: Bouakham Sophabmixay of Fresno, CA;
Her sister: Tith Phakhonkham of San Diego, CA; and
Her 13 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. 9th, Winfield, Kansas. Following the service she will be cremated in Wichita.
