BOUNMY XAYARATH, 66, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, March 26, 2013 at Via Christi/St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Born on June 3, 1946 in Savanaket, Laos, she was the daughter of Kuan and Khoune Keonavong. Bounmy was united in marriage to Sisay Xayarath in 1964 in Laos. The family moved to Thailand in 1978 and to the United States in 1980 where they resided in New York. In 1981 they moved to Minnesota and to Nebraska in 1982. She was employed for Campbell's Soup Company. In 1997 they returned to Minnesota and she worked for Marvin Windows and Doors. The couple settled in Winfield in 2008.
Bounmy was the matriarch of the family and enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and gardening.

Her sons: Mith, A.H. Don and Lanoi Xayarath;
Her daughters: Phet, Phetkaisone and Sarah Xayarath;
Her 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Buddhist services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Cremation will follow at Lakeview in Wichita.
