Obituary

Bonnie Stalnaker, 73, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, January 7, 2019 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.

Born November 23, 1945 in Braman, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Olen Angle and Edna Peterson. She was raised and received her education in Newkirk, Oklahoma and Anthony, Kansas.

She was married to David Stalnaker. The couple had three children and were married for 34 years before divorcing. Bonnie worked at William Newton Hospital, was a caregiver and a substitute teacher. She was a member of the Walnut Valley Quilters Guild as well as Tisdale United Methodist Church. She volunteered and lived at Cumbernauld Village. Bonnie enjoyed sewing, reading, puzzles, card games, crafts, quilting, embroidery and playing with grandkids.

Her family includes her daughters, Lorie Miller and husband, David of Winfield; Lisa Elledge of Wichita; her siblings, Lawrence Angle, Barbara McMartin, Donna Logan, Thelma Jernigan all of Oklahoma; and her grandchildren, Hunter Miller, Nicole Miller, Leah Sturm, Liberty Sturm.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Danny Stalnaker and sisters, Brenda Angle and Oleta Asbury.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Tisdale United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at Tisdale Cemetery for family. A visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.
