Bonnie Rollins, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, August 21, 2011 at Cumbernauld Village.
Born on May 22, 1925 in Marland, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Porter and Bertha (Wright) McMonigle. She was raised and received her education in Marland graduating from Marland High School in 1943.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Freelin "Curley" Rollins in 1944 in Morganfield, Kentucky. While Curley was in the war, she returned to Ponca City, Oklahoma where she went to work for Continental Oil Company. She later went to work as a Bank Teller in Ponca City, where she remained until retiring in 1969. Mr. Rollins preceded her in death on November 24, 2010.
Bonnie was a member of the Nazarene Church in Ponca City. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts, arranging flowers, and spending time in nature. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Her son: Maloy Don Rollins and wife, Gayle of Winfield;
Her daughter: Iris Gail McMonigle and husband, Dee of Georgia;
Her grandchildren: René Smith; Christine Thomson; Lance Rollins; Tammy Moore;
Her great grandchildren: Kelsey Smith; Ashley Smith; Kayla Moore; Cadie Thomson; Trace Thomson; and
Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 12 brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 26, 2011 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will follow at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Bonnie's name for Hospice Care of Kansas in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
