BONNIE J. REDFORD, 86, of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, March 10, 2012 at Via Christi Medical Center on east Harry in Wichita, Kansas.
Born on August 21, 1925 in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of John F. and Lucy ( Frieden) Hoffman.
She was raised and received her education in Alfalfa County and later Kiowa, Kansas where she graduated from Kiowa High School in 1943. As a young lady Bonnie worked in a local dress shop and later a company that manufactured plane parts during World War II.
She was united in marriage on April 28, 1948 to Milton R. "Mutt" Redford in the Methodist Parsonage in Kiowa. The couple made their first home in Wichita, Kansas and lived in Harper, Kansas for a short time before moving to Cambridge, Kansas. Bonnie was employed as a cook for Central of Burden school district from 1965 to 1968. In 1969 she began employment at the Citizens State Bank in Atlanlta as a teller. Bonnie later worked part time for the US Postal Service in Burden. Mr. Redford preceded her in death on July 8, 2010.
She was a member of the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Bonnie had served on the Cambridge City Council and volunteered at Josephs Storehouse in Burden. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Her daughter: Jean A. Redford of Wichita, KS;
Her grandchildren: Russ Redford and wife Jackie, Cathy Shepler and husband Daniel, and Ron Redford and wife Missy;
Her great-grandchildren: Rance and Reese Redford and Lucy and Charlie Shepler; and
Her sister: Myrna Wells of Hemet, CA.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother Melvin "Bud" Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Miles Funeral Service. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., that evening.
A memorial has been established in Bonnie's name for the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
