Obituary

Bonnie Sue Griffiths, 68, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, October 7, 2020 at her home.

Born September 4, 1952 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Orbison) Heilig. She grew up in Cambridge and attended school in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1971. In her younger years, Bonnie worked cleaning houses.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Griffiths in 1984. The couple made their home in Wichita. She worked in the maintenance department for Holiday Inn, in housekeeping for St. Joseph's Hospital, and as a therapy aid at Our Lady of Lords. She also worked for a short time pulling parts in an automotive warehouse. Bonnie retired from St. Frances Hospital in 2018 where she was working in the transportation department. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, embroidery, gardening, and loved her pets.

Her family includes her husband Lloyd of Wichita; her brothers, Dwayne Heilig of Arkansas City; Charles Heilig of Harper; her sister Katherine Simmons of Newton; and her nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Viewing will be held prior to the service beginning at 8:30 A.M. Private family inurnment will take place at Cambridge Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Bonnie's name for the United Service Organizations. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
