Obituary

Bobbie Alvin "Bob" Gott, 77 , of Winfield, passed away Thursday evening, August 27, 2020 at William Newton Hospital.

Born May 11, 1943 in Wichita, Bob was the last of six children to Lonnie A. and Maude Ella (Edgar) Gott.  He was raised and received his education in Wichita.  Directly after school, Bob enlisted in the Marine Corps and served his country proudly in Vietnam.

After being discharged from the Marine Corps, Bob met and married Donna Hall in Wichita on January 14, 1966.  The family made their home in Wichita.  Bob worked as a lineman with KG & E in Wichita for many years.  Later, the couple moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where Bob retired from his job with the city serving in the water department.  After retirement, Bob and Donna moved home to the family farm in Winfield.  Bob enjoyed spending his retirement working on wood carving projects.

His family includes his wife, Donna Gott of Winfield.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Private family funeral services will be held at New Salem Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established in Mr. Gott's name for the Winfield Police Department.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
