Blakely Ann Fields, Daughter of Kristen Clock Fields, David and Lori Fields, and sister of Marley Fields, finished this life on April 7, 2023.
Blakely was born in Ozark, Alabama on August 3, 2000. She lived in multiple states including Alabama, North Carolina, Kansas and Florida. During school, she volunteered each summer in a joint research project with YESS program and Wichita State University Department of Physical Therapy, in order to standardize a gross motor test for children with low muscle tone. She completed her Senior project with components from this research and was asked to present those results at KU School of Medicine Wichita.
Blakely was very active in sports, including many years of soccer, cheerleading and swimming. Blakely swam for Wichita North High School and was on the state qualifying relay her senior year. She graduated from Wichita North High School in 2018 after completing the Biomedical program. She attended Wichita State University where she studied Chemistry until the Pandemic.
In August of 2022, Blakely moved to Dade City, Florida and enjoyed substitute teaching elementary school children. She was planning to finish college to become a teacher.
Blakely is preceded in death by her grandmother Virginia Clock and Grandparents Lloyd and Martha Neu. Surviving family members include her mother Kristen Clock Fields, Father David Fields (Lori Fields), Sister Marley Fields, Step siblings Jesse (Kristiana), Jacob, and Jackson Malone, and Grandfather Robert Clock (Jane Dexter Clock).
Blakely's memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 21, 2023, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Kansas. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Memorials have been established in Blakely's name for Ability Point to be used toward scholarships for the YESS program and for Wichita North High School to be used toward their swim and dive team. Contributions may be made through the funeral home, or by clicking on the following links:
