Bill Murl "Billy" Roan, Jr., 68, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home.

Born October 10, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, he was the son of Bill Roan, Sr. and Mary Louise (McWhorter) Roan.  He was raised and received his education in Dallas.  Following school, Billy held many jobs, he was a jack of all trades.  He married Suzan Oldham on March 3, 1988, in Miami, Florida.  The couple had two children and later divorced.

He loved sports, especially teams from Dallas, the Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, and the Stars.  He enjoyed coaching football and baseball, and he loved to fly.  He almost had a private pilot's license.

His family includes his sons, Bill Roan, III of Omaha, NE; and Aaron (Robby) Roan of Winfield; and his grandchildren, Avian and Aryus Roan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 , at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service.
