Bill Dale
Mcartor
September 21, 1939 – February 16, 2026
Bill D. McArtor, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Born September 21, 1939, in Esbon Kansas, he was the son of Everett William and Beulah Mae (Fielder) McArtor. He was raised and received his education in South Central Kansas, graduating from Winfield High School in 1957.
Bill united in marriage to his love, Donna Rose Randall on December 30, 1969. Together, they built a home in Winfield, Kansas, where they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion to one another. Bill spent many years working in sales, where his easy manner and gift for conversation served him well. He later continued his career working for Price Trucking Company until retirement. Donna preceded him in death on April 16, 2013.
Bill was happiest by the water-a true lake enthusiast. He loved camping with his family and friends and could often be found cheering for his favorite teams: the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and KU basketball. Gifted with skilled hands and a practical mind, he could fix just about anything. More than anything, he loved his family and took pride in them and their accomplishments.
Bill is survived by his children, Todd McArtor and wife Sherri and family of Dallas, Texas; Eric McArtor and wife, Candace of Clearwater, Kansas; Sherri Johnson of Winfield, Kansas; Beverly Pierce of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Darin Johnson and wife, Christine of Owasso, Oklahoma; his brother, Steve McArtor and wife, Joyce of Winfield, Kansas; his grandchildren, Barkleigh Pierce, Ashlea Sanders and husband Tony, Blake Johnson, Bailey Johnson, Kensington McArtor, and Noelle McArtor; and his great grandchildren, Tia Sanders and Victoria Sanders.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by granddaughter Ryann Pierce and brother Jim McArtor.
The family will hold an open house gathering at Baden Square on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come visit and share memories.
