BEVERLY M. NEBERGALL, 75, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday afternoon, October 17, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
Born on September 18, 1939 in Hoisington, Kansas, she was the daughter of Albert Charles and Opal L. (Bott) Morris. At the age of 10 the family moved to a farm west of Greeley, Kansas. She received her education in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School in 1957. Following graduation she moved to Houston, Texas with her family and her parents signed their permission for her to become a United States Navy Wave. She received her basic training in Bainbridge, MD and was stationed in New Port, RI.
Beverly met and married David L. Gilbreath in 1959. To this union, 3 children were born, Vickie L, Danny W. and Michael R. The couple divorced in 1983 and she moved to Winfield.
She was united in marriage to Bryan D. Nebergall on August 16, 1986 in Winfield. She was employed for Farm Bureau Insurance, Winfield State Hospital and SRS. At the time she retired from the State of Kansas in 2002 she was a drivers license examiner. She worked as a secretary of Millington Street Baptist Church for 8 years following retirement.
Beverly was a member of the Millington Street Baptist Church. She had also been a Girl Scout Leader and a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She loved spending time with her family, woodworking, camping, fishing, crafts & sewing. Her Lord Jesus, children and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Her daughters: Vickie L. Gerdsen of Kansas City, KS; Laurie Wendt of Lowden, IA; Lanett Meyers of West Liberty, IA; and Lorane Voss of Winfield, KS;
Her brother: Gary W. Morris of Bellville, TX;
Her sisters: Betty U. Millard of Nixa, MO; and Janice Melton of Sargent, TX;
Her grandchildren: Dana, Kevin, Kayla, Ashley, Perry Jr., Heather, Jenna, Derek and Blair; and
Her great-grandchildren: Jordan, Chloe, Jael, Ivy, Skyla, Tory and Aryn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, LaVern C. Morris; her sisters, Norma Leiker, Virginia Ashburn, Shirley Robbins, Delores Good, Rosalie Terry and Donna Morris; and her grandson Caleb Nebergall.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 20, 2014. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., that evening.
A memorial has been established in Beverly's name for the Millington Street Baptist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
