Betty McKnight, 55, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, November 24, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Born November 30, 1962 in Inglewood, California, she was the daughter of Edward Jones and Shirley (Bromlow) Carle. She was raised and received her education in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma attending Capitol Hill High School.

Betty was united in marriage to Lloyd Gene McKnight in 1979 in Oklahoma City. Lloyd preceded her in death due to an accident that same year. In 1986, Betty moved to Hawthorne, California where she worked in data entry at Matel Toy Company and later, MSAS. In 1995, she moved to Winfield, Kansas where she worked at Rubbermaid for over 12 years before working for Charwell Food Service.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Winfield. She enjoyed working on arts and crafts, collecting cows, and especially loved her dog, Jasper.

Her family includes her daughter Christina McKnight and husband, Rick of Winfield; her brothers George Jones and wife, Diane Fields of Blanchard, OK; Donnie Ledford and wife, Andrea of Hesston, KS; Kinnie Ledford and wife, Michelle of Winfield; her sister Donna Jones of Winfield; her grandchildren, Haley McKnight, Taylor Isreal, Jaiden Isreal, Bethany Ledford; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial services will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at First Church of the Nazarene in Winfield. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Betty's name for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
