Beecher Brunton, 87, of Burden, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, March 12, 2016 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.
Born July 1, 1928 in Cambridge, Kansas, he was the son of Beecher Glen and Susie Jane (Clover) Brunton. He was raised and received his education in Cambridge graduating from Cambridge High School in 1946. He later joined the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War.
He was united in marriage to Wuanita B. Hawley on December 12, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas. The couple made their home in Burden. Beecher began working as a mechanic at Cessna Aircraft where he remained for over 39 years, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Brunton preceded him in death on June 2, 2009. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.

His great grandchildren: Daniel, Joe and Rylee.
In addition to his wife and parents, Beecher was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd, Paul, Willis, Frank, Vernon and Herbert.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 18, 2016 at Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Kansas. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Friday from 9:00 A.M. to Noon.
A memorial has been established in Mr. Brunton's name for Harry Hynes Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
