Barbara Cline Moss Gatton, 86, of Burden, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 6, 2013 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.

Born October 18, 1926 in Winfield, Kansas she was the daughter of Reginald Gordon and Lydia Anna Charlotte (Dohleman) Cline. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1944.

Barbara married Wilbur Charles Moss in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their home on a farm near Burden, Kansas. Barbara worked at Arctic Locker in Burden for over 17 years. Mr. Moss preceded her in death on September 30, 1962.

On September 1, 1972 Barbara was married to Max D. "Mick" Gatton. The couple made their home in Burden. Mr. Gatton preceded her in death on March 14, 1995.

She was a member of the Burden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, especially pies.

Her sister: Phyllis Haddock of Long Beach, CA;
Her grandchildren: Brandon Johnson and wife, Carrie of Colorado Springs, CO; Blake Johnson and wife, Angie of Colorado Springs, CO;
Her great grandchildren: Audrey Johnson, Connor Johnson, Natasha Johnson, Brennan Johnson, and Christopher Johnson, all of Colorado Springs, CO; and
Her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Barbara was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Cline, Robert Cline and Ray Cline, four sisters, Juanita Dare, Audrey Rockwell, May Hindman and Fleetah Luteman, and two infant sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Burden United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Burden Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Sunday afternoon, February 10, 2013 from 3 to 5.

A memorial has been established in Barbara's name for the Burden United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
