Ashley Dean
Anderson
May 10, 1983 – October 31, 2020
Ashley Dean Anderson of Winfield, age 37 died October 31, 2020.
He was born in Winfield on May 10, 1983 at 5:43 AM to Bobby Anderson and Jewell Peters Anderson Marymee.
Ashley grew up in the town of Winfield and made his home there. He graduated from Winfield High School in 2001. He worked for Walmart, Pizza Hut, the security department for several universities, and King's Treatment Center. He went to Kansas State University, Wichita State University, and Cowley County Community College. He often joked that he only needed one course to graduate with several degrees.
In May 2005, he became the abundantly proud father to his world, his beautiful daughter, Kyra Nichole. She was his very best friend and genuinely the light of his life. Everything he did, was for Kyra. Kyra was unexpectedly diagnosed with a heart defect and required numerous surgeries. During one of those surgeries she suffered complications and Ashley was understandably devastated. We honestly believe that is the day his life ended. Kyra ended up needing 24 hours specialized care and Ashley took on that responsibility. He lived for those moments with her, but seeing her suffer every day and feeling like he failed to protect her was more than he could bare. He tried so hard to be the best dad he could be and no one could ever doubt his love for his daughter. Ashley's last wish was for those who know Kyra to tell her daddy loves her with all his hearts, smarts and farts every time you see her.
Ashley liked to write and draw and he was very talented at both. He loved playing video games and pool. Ashley loved to cook and came up with his own recipes. He loved spicy food, barbecuing and smoking meat for his family. He collected comic books, Hot Wheels and Marvel collectibles, especially all things Wolverine. He loved his service dog Chewy and took him everywhere. He most enjoyed collecting and watching movies and would always enjoy his weekend watching some from his lifetime collection, with his favorite person, Kyra.
He is survived by his daughter, Kyra Nicole Anderson; his father and stepmother, Bobby and Tracy Anderson; his mother and stepfather, Jewell and Wally Marymee; his sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Todd Trullinger; his half-sister and fiancé, Brittany Anderson and Ashton; his step-brother and fiancé, Andrew Marymee and Anne; his maternal grandparents, Delbert and Christine Peters; his nephews; Landon, Kyler and Jaxton Trullinger; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Alex "Jack" and Betty Anderson.
